Y50DX Series Power Circular Connectors
The high-current branch of Huada’s Y50 circular connector platform. Bayonet-pin coupling, contact diameters from 2.5 mm to 12 mm, and current ratings up to 250 A per contact, for power distribution in strategic, tactical and vehicle/shipboard systems.
A Dedicated Power Connector Built On the Y50 Platform
Y50DX carries the same bayonet-pin, quick-disconnect coupling as the metric Y50X series, scaled up for power. Where Y50X tops out at 2.5 mm contacts and 25 A, Y50DX starts at 2.5 mm and runs up through 3, 3.5, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 12 mm contacts rated to 250 A, so a single connector platform can cover both the signal harness and the power feed on the same piece of equipment.
The series shares the environmental and mechanical performance of the wider Y50 family — a −55°C to +125°C operating range, 500 mating cycles, and manufacture to GJB101A-97, MIL-C-26482 and GJB598A-96 technical requirements — while adding the larger shell sizes and heavier-gauge inserts needed for power distribution.
Key Features
- Internal bayonet-pin coupling for fast, tool-free mate and de-mate
- Contact diameters from 2.5 mm to 12 mm, rated 25 A to 250 A per contact

How to Read a Y50DX Part Number
Y50DX part numbers add a dedicated power-series field to the same structure used across the Y50 platform. Use the breakdown below to specify a connector, or send us your target shell size and contact count and we will confirm the full part number for you.
Y 50 D P IIII 20 04 Z K 10-21 — Y: product family code for circular electrical connector.
2 — 50: design series number.
3 — D: series category — power-series product.
4 — Structural/seal form: X = welded/potted seal, P = welded & shielded/potted seal, H = glass seal.
5 — Insert position: I, II, III, IV or V (position III is left unmarked).
6 — Shell size: 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24, 32 or D404.
7 — Contact count: 02, 03, 04 or 05.
8 — Plug/receptacle: T = plug, Z = receptacle.
9 — Contact type: J = pin, K = socket, S = wall-mount (feed-through) pin & socket.
10 — Tail style / mounting code: for plugs — 1 ground/pressure-clamp, 2 cable clamp-plate, 3 simple potted, 4 anti-vibration strain-relief, 5 90° angled, 6 spring cable-guard. For receptacles — 10 square flange, 10-2 square flange with cable shroud, 11 round flange, 14 jam-nut (screw coupling).
Shell Sizes & Insert Arrangements
Sixteen insert arrangements are available across nine shell sizes, from the compact shell 12 up to the heavy-duty D404 power shell. Detailed pin-out (mating-face) diagrams for every arrangement are provided in the full datasheet on request.

Anti-mis-mating Keyway Positions
Each insulator carries a keyway on its outer diameter. Rotating the key to one of five positions during assembly guarantees that same-spec plugs and receptacles cannot be cross-mated.

|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Key letter | V | Y | I | L | T |
| Angle from key I | 157° | 102° | 0° | 135° | 146° |
